We process personal data only to the extent necessary and under the following legal bases:

• Legitimate interest – for IP-based rate limiting and server log collection, necessary to maintain service security and prevent abuse.
• Consent – for the placement of advertising cookies by Google AdSense. You may withdraw consent at any time via the opt-out link above.
• Contractual necessity – for transmitting user inputs to third-party AI providers when you actively use our AI-powered tools.

We use the following trusted third-party providers:

• Anthropic – AI model provider for tools like the Prompt Generator. Input text is processed by Anthropic under their Privacy Policy. Anthropic does not use API data to train their base models.
• Vercel – Hosting and infrastructure provider.
• Upstash – Redis-based rate limiting.
• Google AdSense / DoubleClick – Advertising services. See Google's Privacy & Terms and Advertising Policy.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external websites we may link to. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

Prompt Toolbox does not require user accounts or logins, and we do not store personally identifiable profile data on our end.

We do not set any first-party tracking cookies. We do not track you across other websites.

By continuing to use this site, you consent to the use of advertising cookies as described above. You may opt out at any time via Google Ads Settings or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

Your data may be processed on servers located outside of Costa Rica (for example, on Vercel's infrastructure or Anthropic's servers in the United States). Where such transfers occur, they are carried out with appropriate safeguards in place, consistent with the requirements of Costa Rican Law No. 8968 and, where applicable, the GDPR.

Under Costa Rican Law No. 8968 and applicable international regulations, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of Access – You may request confirmation of whether we hold any personal data about you and receive a copy of that data.
• Right of Rectification – You may request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data we hold.
• Right of Cancellation / Erasure – You may request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
• Right of Opposition – You may object to the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances.
• Right to Data Portability – Where applicable, you may request that we provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Prompt Toolbox is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at prompt.toolbox.ai@gmail.com and we will promptly delete such information.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. All data transmissions between your browser and our servers use HTTPS encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a data breach that may affect your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant authorities and affected users in accordance with applicable law, including the 5-business-day breach notification requirement under Costa Rican regulations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and version number at the top of this page. Your continued use of Prompt Toolbox after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Prompt Toolbox (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated under the laws of Costa Rica. By using this site, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Our tools are provided free of charge for your personal or professional use. You agree not to:

• Attempt to abuse, scrape, reverse-engineer, or bypass the rate limits or security measures we have in place.
• Use our tools for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with our AI-powered tools without prior written consent.

All content on this site, including but not limited to the site design, code, graphics, and written content, is the intellectual property of Prompt Toolbox and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.

Outputs generated by AI-powered tools are provided for your personal use. You are solely responsible for how you use, publish, or act on any AI-generated content. We make no claim of ownership over outputs generated through your use of the tools.

The tools are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. While we strive for accuracy (especially in token counting and pricing calculations), we do not guarantee that the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce results suitable for any specific purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Prompt Toolbox, its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill
• Unexpected API costs or billing errors arising from the use of our calculators or tools
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which such damages are claimed, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Prompt Toolbox and its owners, operators, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the site or its tools; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any content you submit or generate through the use of our tools.

Our AI-powered features are provided as a free service. You agree not to use Prompt Toolbox to:

• Generate, distribute, or facilitate illegal content, spam, malware, phishing material, or disinformation.
• Impersonate any person, company, or entity using AI-generated outputs.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to our tools without prior written consent.
• Engage in any activity that disrupts, damages, or impairs the functionality or security of the site.

We reserve the right to:

• Block or throttle IP addresses that exhibit abusive behavior, excessive automated requests, or attempts to circumvent rate limits.
• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time, with or without notice, without liability to you.

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of our obligations under these Terms resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: third-party service outages (including Anthropic, Vercel, or Upstash), internet or network failures, denial-of-service attacks, natural disasters, acts of government, or any other event outside our reasonable control. In such cases, our obligations will be suspended for the duration of the event.

Our site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Prompt Toolbox.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and version number at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Costa Rica.
